When you think about robots, especially if you’ve read Asimov, it’s easy to imagine futuristic creatures with exceptional powers.
Those who work in the development of robots today do a job with exceptional challenges, but for this very fascinated.
The key point is multi-disciplinarity. Mechanics and electronics, IoT, programming, ML and AI, sociology, psychology, education science are the major subjects involved.
The teams clash and contaminate each other on these matters and the results, even if still far from the common imagination, are exceptional.
If you want to try your hand at something that tests you and allows you to increase your skills in a broad and transversal way, try to build a robot capable of doing a task, even simple, but well defined.
